Real estate lawyer and licensed broker Jeffrey Gibson is the Brokerage Manager of the Sotheby’s International Realty – San Francisco office. Jeff has 25 years of experience practicing law, including 15 years as a partner with the San Francisco firm Goldstein Gellman Melbostad Gibson & Harris, LLP, specializing in real estate as well as construction, employment matters and family law. Since 1996, he has provided outside legal counsel for Sotheby’s International Realty’s operations and has worked closely with the San Francisco, Wine Country and Carmel offices and the company’s corporate counsel in New York on various litigation and transactional matters.
Jeff’s depth of experience, combined with his ability to foster collaboration among the agents, has transformed the brokerages he manages and has led to a series of extraordinary results, including being the number one office for sales volume within the Sotheby’s International Realty U.S. network in both 2015 and 2016. As agent Gloria Smith notes, “I joined Sotheby’s International Realty because of the strong global brand, but have come to love working at this office due to Jeff’s unique combination of honesty, fairness, approachability and intelligence.”
As a non-competing manager, Jeff’s primary focus is supporting his agents. Through his expert advice and strong leadership, he has established a professional atmosphere where top-producing agents can flourish. For many, Jeff also acts as an invaluable mentor, helping to grow their business to new levels. As agent Neill Bassi notes, “Jeff Gibson has been instrumental in my growth and my success throughout my career. He is constantly pushing me to be better and helping the brand work for me. Jeff’s support and advice are priceless for me and my clients.”
